July 9th

We learned that due to the Medevac last night we would be missing Grand Cayman, which is too bad, but on the bright side we also learned the lady that was Medevaced is recovering in hospital in Miami. We're currently steaming towards Honduras and will arrive on Tuesday morning. We spent today at sea enjoying the ship.

We played bingo in the morning. Tina came within two numbers of winning. Jason sipped a Prosecco and then some St-Germaine.

There was a history/geography/things to do presentation on Grand Cayman (which we'll miss anyway) and Honduras. In the end probably not a big deal to miss Grand Cayman as we didn't have anything in particular planned to do there other than go swimming and wandering around looking for "wild" free roaming chickens - apparently they congregate around the local KFC believe it or not.

Tina went for a nap and Jason lost some cash in the casino. Jason was within one card in Video Poker of a straight flush so that was a bummer (couple hundred dollar payout). We checked out "Deal or No Deal" in which a contestant won $400 (the second highest prize below, after the grand prize of $1000) so she did very well.

For dinner it was formal night so we dressed up a bit and went to the dining room. We each enjoyed the pate for an appetizer. For the main Tina didn't enjoy the beef, and Jason really enjoyed the duck. The dessert was quite good, both the cheesecake and the sugar free tart. We each enjoyed a glass or two of wine.

We checked out the Captain's Champagne Waterfall and met a familiar face, Guido, from our cruise last year. He might be cruise director some day - they often have him doing "second in command" tasks. Tina helped pour some champagne onto the waterfall and Jason just had some champagne.

After dinner we  went to the singing and dancing show "Ballroom Broadway" which surprisingly Tina really liked.

Jason tried out the the 3200iso film from last year - curious to see if the photos turn out when developed.
